Long break

October 22nd, 2007 by donna

Hello at last my friends,  it’s been a while  since I wrote on my blog and now I have new friends who have looked at my blog and told me they like what I write….But then they say it’s been a while since I wrote anything, so I guess I should write something eh :)…….  trouble is I never really know what to write not being like Mike who plans everything out with some scriptural insight and a helpful application  or two.  But then you all know i’m more of a chatter.

I’ve been looking at I timothy lately and getting very confussed about chapter two.  Should I shut up now??? :)  No seriously this is a good chapter for women to look at and really try and get to grips with.  When you have sorted it out let me know eh, coz it’s one I have never really managed to come to a good understanding of.  Does it mean that women can’t teach and preach in a Church, does it mean we can’t teach anywhere.  Are we able to do everything because we are all one in Christ, having been born again.  This is a deep question and I know what I think but after all it’s not about what I think or how I can twist the word of God to suit what I like.  It’s aboout seeing the things of God and finding the best for us all.   I know plenty of women who think it was for a time and so not a universal teaching, meaning it doesn’t apply to us.  If fact I know some women pastors who have their own Churches and they obviously don’t think it applies to them.  But what is the truth and how do we arrive at the right understanding???  Let me know what you all think, and I shall add some more thoughts later on.

So this was less a blog thing and more me hoping that we can have a good chat about this one, us ladies together.  That is if any of you are still looking at my blog after all this time;

Look forward to hearing from you soon,

Love N Stuff,

Donna

Being

May 29th, 2007 by donna

You all know it’s been a while since I have written any thing on here.  Not that I haven’t got any thing to say ( I can hear you laughing) :)  But it’s not always easy to figure out with all the things going on in life what to write and what not to write.  Read the rest of this entry »

Snowy Spring Day

March 19th, 2007 by donna

Okay so I guess God Likes to have a laugh now and again.  Last week I was convinced that spring had indeed arrived in the Savoie.  I then had a lovely time finding out that all of my spring clothes still fit me (which as you all know is not the case every year),
